Curriculum Overview
Cogdel offers a 12-year continuous international curriculum from primary through high school, covering mainstream international programmes and supporting global multi-directional university admissions.
Primary School (Grades 1-5)
IB-PYP + National Compulsory Education Curriculum Integration
Dual-track development: Chinese and Mathematics benchmarked against top-tier public schools in central Chengdu, while integrating IB-PYP inquiry-based teaching. Critical thinking is cultivated through six transdisciplinary theme inquiry units. English is taught in cross-grade differentiated instruction with foreign and Chinese teachers collaborating, reaching KET highest level by Grade 5. "One Student, One Group" personalized feedback mechanism. Departmentalized scheduling with individualized timetables.
Middle School (Grades 6-8)
National Curriculum + International School-Based Curriculum (Integrated UK Key Stage 3)
Mathematics and Sciences based on the national curriculum, integrated with UK Key Stage 3; science lab ratio increased to 40%. Grade 6 joins the Middle School division early, starting secondary science courses and initiating university planning. English follows the CLIL (Content and Language Integrated Learning) approach; PET achieved by Grade 8. Full competition coverage: 100% student participation in AMC, BPhO and other international competitions.
High School (Grades 9-12)
IGCSE + A-Level (21 Subjects) + AP
Full offering of IGCSE, A-Level (21 subjects), AP and other mainstream international courses, with free combination across humanities, sciences, and arts. IBDP application in progress. "1+N Mentor System" for customized development. On-campus IELTS preparation with specialist teachers. US university dual-enrolment courses. Art pathway programme with 100% QS TOP10 placements for the past 5 years.
