The 2025-2026 academic year has been one of Cogdel School Chengdu's most successful competition seasons ever. As the new year begins, we celebrate the achievements of students who have represented the school — and themselves — with distinction across the international stage.
Season Highlights
- Multiple Gold medals across Chemistry (UKChO), Biology (BBO), Mathematics (SMC, AMC), and Physics Olympiads
- First-ever International Natural Science Olympiad (INO) advanced round qualifications
- Record numbers of AIME qualifiers from AMC competitions
- Strong performances in essay competitions, debate tournaments, and arts showcases — demonstrating that Cogdel's excellence spans STEM, humanities, and creative arts
More Than Medals
While every award deserves celebration, the real victory lies in what happens beneath the results: students learning to set ambitious goals, manage preparation alongside regular coursework, handle competition-day pressure, and — most importantly — reflect productively on outcomes whether triumphant or disappointing. These are the meta-skills that transfer to university, career, and life.
Looking Ahead
"The goal isn't to produce students who are good at competitions. The goal is to use competitions as one of many vehicles for developing students who are good at learning, good at persisting, and good at performing under pressure — attributes that serve them for life." — Cogdel Competition Program
