About the AMC
The AMC is the most widely recognized mathematics competition for secondary school students, administered by the Mathematical Association of America (MAA). Success in the AMC opens a progressive pathway: AMC → AIME → USA Mathematical Olympiad (USAMO) → International Mathematical Olympiad (IMO). For university applications — particularly to STEM programs at top US and UK universities — strong AMC/AIME results are a significant differentiator.
